Rural Mississippi, 1937. Three convicts escape from a chain gang after hearing of hidden treasure, setting off on a wild quest for fortune. Loosely inspired by Homer’s The Odyssey, the Coen Brothers’ (Raising Arizona, Fargo, No Country for Old Men) screwball comedy offers a sharp, satirical portrait of the American South in the post-Depression era.

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts.
