In 1942, in the Welsh town of Port Talbot, young Richard Jenkins is a restless schoolboy facing the struggles of a war-torn world and family hardship. But everything changes when his remarkable talent for drama is noticed by his teacher, Philip Burton. Under Philip’s mentorship, Richard embarks on a journey that will shape him into one of the greatest actors of all time. Starring Toby Jones and Lesley Manville, this heartfelt drama explores the formative years of Richard Burton, the seven-time Oscar-nominated Welsh acting legend.

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
