Mickey 1715

Directed by Bong Joon Ho | USA | 2024 | 2h 17m | Starring Robert Pattinson, Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, Mark Ruffalo, Toni Collette

Unlikely hero Mickey Barnes finds himself in a job that demands the ultimate sacrifice: dying for a living, again and again. As a cloned worker endlessly replaced after each death, Mickey number 17 is sent on a perilous mission to colonise a distant ice planet, where things take an even more unusual turn. Robert Pattison stars in Oscar-winning director Bong Joon-ho’s (Parasite, Memories Of Murder) darkly comic sci-fi thriller, adapted from Ashton Edward’s novel ‘Mickey7’.

Reviews

‘This is Pattinson at his best, holding his movie star charisma hostage in order to pursue loveable weirdos in all kinds of shades. He’s fully liberated here, consistently finding the most unexpected and delightful ways to deliver a line.’
★★★★★
Clarisse Loughery, The Independent

‘It’s unquestionably tremendous fun: a big, strange spectacle that’s unlike most blockbuster cinema out there.’
★★★★
Lou Thomas, Time Out
