Kino Kids Cinema Club: The Red TurtlePG
When a sailor becomes shipwrecked on a deserted island, he finds himself with only tiny beach creatures for company. Determined to return home, he builds a raft from wood, but each time he tries to leave, a mysterious red turtle prevents his escape. What begins as disappointment soon transforms into something magical, as the sailor discovers the turtle is about to change his life in unexpected ways. This beautifully animated film, made in partnership with the famous Studio Ghibli, showing the wonder of life’s journey through stunning visuals that viewers of all ages can appreciate.
Tickets for Kino Kids Cinema Club screenings are £4 for Children (under-15s) and £6 for Adults. Screenings are relaxed, meaning that the sound will be turned down a notch, and the lights will be up a little, and we don’t mind if people make a bit of noise or move around during the film.
All children (aged 11 and under) must be accompanied by adults at all times, nor shall we admit adults who do not have children with them. If you have any questions or need any more information about these screenings, please feel free to get in touch by emailing us at: [email protected]

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
