Four Daughters15
Fact and fiction mix in this documentary reconstructing the story of Tunisian mother Olfa Hamrouni and her four daughters to examine how her two eldest were radicalised by Islamic extremists. Casting professional actresses as the missing daughters, award-winning director Kaouther Ben Hania (The Man Who Sold His Skin) reenacts pivotal moments in the family’s life. A riveting exploration of rebellion, memory, and sisterhood that won Best Documentary at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
Reviews
‘Ben Hania takes the building blocks of filmmaking and constructs from them something cathartic, affecting and original.’

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
