Exhibition on Screen: Caravaggio12A
Caravaggio is one of the most celebrated artists in European history. Known for his dramatic use of light, intense realism, and bold, striking figures, his works have captivated audiences for centuries. Yet behind the masterpieces lies a deeper mystery: what do these paintings reveal about the man himself? This documentary explores his life and art like never before, featuring masterpiece after masterpiece, along with first-hand testimony from the artist on the eve of his mysterious death. Five years in the making, multi-award-winning film makers Phil Grabsky and David Bickerstaff present the most comprehensive film ever made about one of history’s greatest painters.

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
