Blade Runner: The Final Cut15

Directed by Ridley Scott | USA | 1982 | 1h 58m | Starring Harrison Ford, Sean Young, Rutger Hauer, Daryl Hannah, M. Emmet Walsh

In a smog-choked, dystopian Los Angeles in 2019, former “blade runner” Rick Deckard is pulled out of retirement for one last assignment: tracking down and “retiring” a group of escaped replicants who have come to Earth in search of their creator. As Deckard follows his target to the powerful Tyrell Corporation, he encounters Rachel, a replicant whose emergence complicates his mission when he finds himself drawn into a conflicted and unexpected romance. A landmark of modern science fiction, Blade Runner showcases the visionary direction of Ridley Scott, blending noir atmosphere with a richly detailed futuristic world. Adapted from Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, the film is defined by its groundbreaking production design and the atmospheric, synth-driven score by Vangelis.
