In a small Georgian village, 48-year-old Etero values her freedom as much as she loves her cakes, and has vowed never to marry. Her decision to live alone sparks considerable gossip among her fellow villagers. However, unexpectedly, she finds herself falling for a man and must decide whether to pursue a relationship or maintain her cherished lifestyle. Elene Naveriani’s bittersweet drama provides an enduring portrait of an independent woman grappling with society’s deeply ingrained expectations.
Reviews
‘Naveriani is a natural filmmaker, and she’s gifted with a perfect lead performance for the material. This will likely be a fair few people’s low-key fave of 2024.’

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
