Apocalypse Now: Final Cut15

Directed by Francis Ford Coppola | USA | 1979 | 3h 2m | Starring Martin Sheen, Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall, Laurence Fishburne, Dennis Hopper, Harrison Ford

Vietnam, 1970: Captain Willard is sent on a dangerous mission deep into the jungle to find and eliminate Colonel Kurtz, a decorated officer who has reportedly descended into madness. As Willard’s journey upriver becomes increasingly nightmarish, he is drawn not only toward Kurtz, but into a confrontation with the darkest corners of the human psyche. Francis Ford Coppola’s harrowing epic of war and madness stands as a landmark of the New Hollywood era, an unflinching masterpiece now regarded as one of the greatest achievements in American cinema.
