Alice, Darling15
When Alice is invited away for a friend’s birthday, she lies to her controlling boyfriend Simon about the reason for trip. With the help of her friends, Alice begins to look at her relationship with new eyes, gaining some much needed perspective. But when Simon unexpectedly turns up, Alice’s courage and bonds of friendship are put to the test. A tense and taut thriller that serves as a portrait of psychological manipulation and one woman’s effort to overcome it.
Reviews
‘It’s a chilling little film, avoiding maximalism at every turn, a bold debut from Nighy…The chill will linger for a while.’
★★★★
Benjamin Lee, The Guardian
‘Alice, Darling remains striking, however, thanks to how subtly Alanna Francis’s screenplay presents the warning signs of Simon’s behaviour.’
★★★★
Clarisse Loughery, The Independent

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
