Is your mind overflowing with movie trivia? Do you know your Pixar from your DreamWorks, and your Golden Lions from your Silver Bears? And can you guess the film purely from the poster tagline or a section of dialogue? Well, we have good news for you! We are partnering with Oxford’s top film quizzers Keepin’ It Reel for the launch of a new monthly film quiz, taking place at the Big Society pub right next door to the cinema.
Expect a mix of rounds covering everything from mainstream blockbusters to indie cinema deep cuts, Keepin’ It Reel create the best film quizzes in Oxford, designed for all levels of skill and film knowledge. It’s a chance to test what you know, learn a few things you didn’t, and settle any arguments about who really knows more about film among your friends.
Starting on Thursday 3rd September, the quiz will run on the first Thursday of every month at 7pm (with the quiz itself starting at 7.30pm sharp).
Teams can be up to six strong, and entry is £2 per person. Whether you’re rounding up your most film-literate friends or turning up solo to be slotted onto a team, there’s a place for you.
Prizes on the night include movies, merch, free cinema tickets, and free rounds at the bar so there is plenty to play for, whatever your specialist subject
