Becoming Led Zeppelin12A

Directed by Bernard MacMahon | UK/USA | 2021 | 2h 2m

Follow the individual journeys of British rock legends Led Zeppelin as they navigate the vibrant 1960s music scene, playing small clubs, performing era-defining hits, and ultimately coming together for a life-changing rehearsal in the summer of 1968. Featuring never-before-seen footage and electrifying performances, this immersive documentary captures the band’s origins and their meteoric rise over the course of a single year.

Reviews

‘The master-musicianship that the press initially overlooked, and which the tales of bad behaviour obscure, is front and centre here.’
★★★★
Ludovic Hunter-Tilney, The FT

‘A rich vein of anecdotes is found in Page and Jones’s busy history as session players, with Jones particularly emerging as an affable raconteur with a juicy portfolio of anecdotes.’
Jonathan Romney, Unct Magazine
