Sleep15
Late one night, a young woman is awakened by her husband’s sinister mutterings in his sleep. As the nights pass, his behaviour becomes increasingly unpredictable, escalating from sleep-talking to sleep-walking and hinting at something even more disturbing. Writer-director Jason Yu, who has previously collaborated with South Korean luminaries Lee Chang-dong and Bong Joon-ho, balances humour, horror, and suspense in his chilling directorial debut.
Reviews
‘It’s an impressive first feature from Jason Yu, who is as adept at wielding the sly observational comedy of the film’s first half as he is at ratcheting up the claustrophobic tension later on.’
★★★★
Wendy Ide, The Observer
‘Despite sleepiness being part of its premise, the pacing of Yu’s film is propulsive, and the deft detours into dark comedy are a highlight. But it’s Jung and Lee’s work that lingers the most’
★★★★
Josh Slater-Williams, Little White Lies

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
