When a middle-aged man discovers that his girlfriend has undergone a procedure to erase him from her memory, he angrily decides to do the same. However, as he watches his memories of her fade away, he begins to have second thoughts. Acclaimed writer Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich) and visionary director Michel Gondry (The Science of Sleep) team up in this visually brilliant and emotionally rich exploration of love, heartbreak, and memory. Winner of Best Original Screenplay at the 2005 Academy Awards and BAFTA Film Awards.
A one-off screening followed by an expert panel discussion with Angeliki Kerasidou (Associate Professor in Bioethics at the Ethox Centre, University of Oxford), Rod Bailey (historian at the Wellcome Centre for Ethics and Humanities, University of Oxford) and Alex McKeown (Research Fellow with the Neuroscience, Ethics, and Society (NEUROSEC) group and Wellcome Centre for Ethics and Humanities, University of Oxford).

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
