We’re making the last weekend of May an AniMAYtion Bank Holiday! Join us between Saturday 27th and Monday 29th May as we show six animated classics – two titles on each day looking at separate themes, featuring works from Japan, Iran, Ireland, and Hungary, spanning over 40 years of cinema history. Buy a weekend pass and you’ll be able to see modern anime smash-hit Your Name alongside Satoshi Kon’s mindbending Millennium Actress; Studio Ghibli masterpiece Grave of the Fireflies back-to-back with Marjane Satrapi’s Oscar-nominated Persepolis; and finally Cartoon Saloon’s folk tale Song of the Sea followed by the kaleidoscopic Hungarian fantasy Son of the White Mare.
You can buy a combo ticket to all six screenings for the price of £45, with a Pay Less option of £40 (for those whose budgets can’t currently stretch to the standard price) and Pay More option of £50 (for those who can currently afford to pay a little more). There are no ads or trailers before each screening. Seating for all screenings will be unallocated. We have scheduled a 30min break between both films screenings to stretch your legs or get a snack/drink at our bar.

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
