The Banshees of Inisherin15
Off the coast of Ireland, two lifelong friends find themselves at an emotional deadlock when, with civil war raging on the nearby mainland, their relationship comes to an abrupt end. As they attempt to resolve their grievance, an ultimatum is delivered with shocking consequences. Oscar-winning writer-director Martin McDonagh (Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing Missouri) reunites In Bruges actors Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson in this tragicomic fable of fractured friendship. Nominated for nine Oscars (including Best Picture) and winner of four BAFTAs.
Reviews
‘This is an often shoulder-shudderingly funny film, whose comic dialogue is dazzlingly designed and performed. But McDonagh leaves fate itself with the last, black, bone-rattling laugh.’
★★★★★
Robbie Collin, The Telegraph
‘Another acerbic, dangerous, darkly amusing, and heartbreakingly sad character drama from a modern master of shifting tones.’

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
