Child Migrant Stories: Voices Past and Present + Q&ARating-TBC
Short films from Child Migrant Stories that document the lived experiences of young people who have arrived in the UK: from children who came over on the Kindertransport in 1930s, to the Windrush generation from the Caribbean in the 1960s, and those who left by boat from Vietnam in the late 1970s and Syrian children who have settled on the Isle of Bute in Scotland. These moving testimonies encourage us to reflect on how welcoming we really are, as individuals and as a nation.
This FREE screening will be followed by a discussion with filmmakers, Eithne Nightingale and Mitchell Harris from those with lived experience of child migration and those supporting today’s refugees.

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
