Classic Season: Lars Von Trier

Join us this October-November for a season of modern classics by of one of world cinema’s most renowned and daring provocateurs, Danish filmmaker Lars von Trier.

Known for his restless technical innovation and rebellious approach to the genre, von Trier has courted ardent fans and enemies in equal measure during his nearly four decades as a director. Sex, religion, violence, and the end of all human life, he has confronted the taboo subjects of the day and the existential problems of the human condition with the same thorny intelligence and mischievous humour.
