Vortex15

Directed by Gaspar Noé | France | 2021 | 2h 22m | French w/ English subtitles | Starring Dario Argento, Françoise Lebrun, Alex Lutz, Kylian Dheret

In their Parisian apartment, an elderly couple – a retired psychiatrist and a struggling author – deal with a family crisis as well as the day-to-day trials of ageing. A stunningly compassionate look at mortality, presented in split-screen, by “enfant terrible” of French cinema Gaspar Noé (Climax, Enter the Void) and starring legendary Italian director Dario Argento (Suspiria).

Reviews

‘In terms of scope, ambition and execution, it’s one of the finest pictures [Noé’s] made.’

Plan your visit

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
