Titane18

Directed by Julia Ducournau | France | 2021 | 1h 48m | French w/ English subtitles | Starring Agathe Rousselle, Vincent Lindon, Garance Marillier, Bertrand Bonello

After a sickening road accident in her youth, a young woman develops a Freudian fixation on metallic objects. On the run after committing a series of shocking crimes, she develops a familial bond with a firefighter who takes her under his wing under false pretences. Julia Ducournau’s extraordinary Palme d’Or winner delights in combining grotesque body-horror with moments of transcendent tenderness.

Reviews

‘Titane is a genuinely weird, sweet thing, even in a time where those descriptors get thrown around far too much. There has not been a more surprising motion picture in years.’

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
