We are delighted to present this double-feature screening of The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day in association with Malone Wolf Theatre to launch the UK tour of I’ll Be Back: The One Woman Terminator Parody – kicking off just one week later on 6 & 7 September at the Old Fire Station, Oxford. Writer and performer Justine Malone will introduce both screenings.

6PM – The Terminator (1984)
A cyborg assassin travels from 2029 to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor, whose unborn son is destined to lead humanity’s fight against the rule of robots. The planet’s fate lies in the hands of a lone-warrior sent to protect Sarah Connor and defeat a virtually indestructible machine. Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as the role he was born to play in James Cameron’s relentless sci-fi thriller that continues to be an influence on modern-day blockbusters.

8PM – Intermission (45mins)

8.45PM – Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
Ten years after The Terminator (1984), Sarah Connor’s son, John, becomes the target of the T-1000, a deadly, shape-shifting robot sent by Skynet to ensure humanity’s destruction. To protect him, a reprogrammed Terminator, identical to the one that once tried to kill Sarah, is sent back in time as his guardian. Packed with groundbreaking visual effects and intense action, James Cameron’s sequel delivers both spectacle and heart, adding emotional depth to this iconic sci-fi story.

I’ll Be Back: The One Woman Terminator Parody
I’ll Be Back is the story of an embittered Cyberdyne Systems scientist (Dudley branch) who must become a Terminator built with Windows 95, and travel back in time in order to right all of her wrongs. This troubled and malfunctioning killing machine returns to a world before Judgment Day on a quest to save humanity from the robots she helped to create, and to discover what it means to be human. I’ll Be Back is an action-packed 60 minutes of apocalyptic devastation, robotic transformation, emotional reunion, and how a plan formed in the Brierley Hill Blockbusters can save the world. It is a journey through the space-time continuum and a quest to prevent nuclear holocaust, guided by the wisdom of Microsoft’s Clippy. Powered by dial-up internet, and featuring 90s pop hits and amateur contemporary dance (which some viewers may find offensive), I’ll Be Back is an adventure for all to enjoy, but is also a real treat for fans of the proper Terminator films (1 and 2).

Justine Malone
Justine is a writer, performer and theatre maker, known for her drag acts as Malone Wolf, and as one half of comedy duo Watson & Malone. I’ll Be Back is her first solo show. Her influences range from Steve Coogan to Tommy Tiernan, Julia Davies to Tina Fey, with some Garry Starr clowning, Arnold Schwarzenegger swagger, and Jim Carrey face action thrown in for good measure.
