Spider-Man: Across the Spider-VersePG

Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers & Justin K. Thompson | USA | 2022 | 2h 20m | Starring Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Brian Tyree Henry, Oscar Isaac, Daniel Kaluuya

After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. However, when they clash on how to handle a new threat, Spidey must step up and redefine what it means to be a hero. Following on from the groundbreaking animation Into The Spider-Verse, this breathlessly brilliant sequel is packed with astonishing visuals, wit, and emotional poignancy.

Reviews

‘It takes the basic themes of the first film – adolescent isolation, communication breakdown, the messy, stressful business of growing, of finding your people – and builds whole worlds with them.’

Wendy Ide, The Observer

‘In every possible universe, and every interpretation, this slaps.’
★★★★★
Leila Latif, Little White Lies
