Space Is The Place18

Directed by John Coney | USA | 1974 | 1h 22m | Starring Sun Ra, Raymond Johnso, Christopher Brooks, Barbara Deloney, Erika Leder

Visionary jazz musician Sun Ra brings his radical Afrofuturist philosophy to life in this genre-defying film. Part science fiction, part concert film, part social commentary, it follows Sun Ra and his Arkestra as they embark on an intergalactic mission to create a new utopia. Bold, eccentric, and visually explosive, it’s a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience that fuses music, politics, and cosmic imagination.

Director's Cuts: Peter Strickland
