Saltburn15

Directed by Emerald Fennell | UK | 2023 | 2h 11m | Starring Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Rosamund Pike, Richard E Grant, Carey Mulligan

Struggling to fit in at Oxford University, a student finds himself drawn into the world of a charming and aristocratic classmate, who invites him to stay at his eccentric family’s estate for the summer. Barry Keoghan leads an incredible ensemble cast in Oscar-winning filmmaker Emerald Fennell’s (Promising Young Woman) second feature, a wicked comedic satire of privilege, status and desire.

Reviews

‘As a class satire, it reaches no conclusions. But it’s filled to the brim with darkly funny, bile-slicked revulsion. For its director, who hails from the same upper classes she targets, it’s an act of self-excavation.’
★★★★
Clarisse Loughery, The Independent

‘A stickily sensual black comedy full of one-liners and stand-out performances from Jacob Elordi and Rosamund Pike.’
★★★★
Nicholas Barber, BBC
