Rimini18

Directed by Ulrich Seidl | Austria | 2022 | 1h 55m | German & Italian w/ English subtitles | Starring Michael Thomas, Tessa Göttlicher, Hans-Michael Rehberg, Inge Maux, Claudia Martini

A washed up, once popular pop star chases his faded fame in the Italian coastal town of Rimini. Permanently drunk and with mounting financial troubles, he makes ends meet by playing dingy club gigs to an ageing female fan base. However, the unexpected arrival of his estranged daughter threatens to burst his surprisingly sizeable ego. A stylish, seedy and unflinching dark comedy that won Best Feature at this year’s Diagonale Festival of Austrian Film.

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
