Oxford International Women’s Festival presents: Suffragette12A
In early 20th-century Britain, the rising suffragette movement transforms the life of Maud Watts, a working wife and mother. Inspired by political activist Emmeline Pankhurst, Maud joins a diverse group of women fighting for equality and the right to vote.
As part of the 36th Oxford International Women’s Festival, this special International Women’s Day screening of Sarah Gavron’s historical drama will feature a short introduction by Dr. Katherine Bradley, followed by a Q&A discussion.
Tickets include a complimentary celebratory glass of wine.
Reviews
‘A wonderfully involving, moving Carey Mulligan and the spirited ensemble around her flesh out a handsomely crafted, timely look at why and how far people are willing to go for a cause.’

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
