Directed by Neil Maskell | UK | 2022 | 1h 24m | Starring Tom Burke, Jenna Coleman, Amit Shah, Roger Evans, Gracy Goldman

A government whistleblower and his wife are discreetly relocated to a remote cottage in Belgium, where they stay under the watchful eye of two close protection officers. Tensions begin to rise and bickering ensues as this mismatched group of individuals anxiously await the arrival of a British journalist. Known for his collaborations with Ben Wheatley, actor-turned-director Neil Maskel sketches a darkly funny and claustrophobic thriller filled with twists and turns, starring Tom Burke and Jenna Coleman.

Reviews

‘The film owes a substantial debt to Martin McDonagh’s In Bruges, especially when two bickering, gun-toting bodyguards arrive, delightfully played by Tom Burke and Roger Evans.’
★★★★
Kevin Maher, The Times

‘Neil Maskell, having proved himself as a leading presence in British bleak comedy, now shows his mastery as a filmmaker in the same genre. More to come, let’s hope’
Philip Kemp, BFI Sight & Sound Magazine
