Jozi GoldRating-TBC
The mines of Johannesburg have produced a third of all the gold mined in human history. Now they are falling apart and the city confronts an environmental nightmare with tons of radioactive waste polluting the air and water supplies. In this urgent documentary, a former Jehovah’s Witness goes on a mission to uncover the truth about Johannesburg mine waste and force the gold industry to take responsibility.
One off-screening, part of the UK Green Film Festival, featuring an on-screen introduction by the film’s director, Sylvia Vollenhoven.

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
