I Know Where I’m Going!PG

Headstrong Englishwoman Joan travels to the remote islands of the Scottish Hebrides to marry her wealthy lover. However, her plan takes an unexpected turn when she becomes marooned on the Isle of Mull due to tumultuous weather. Here, she encounters a charming naval officer whose presence poses a challenge to her carefully laid-out life path. Powell and Pressburger’s passionately romantic and notably feminist masterwork is back on the big screen, newly restored to 4K courtesy of the BFI.

★★★★★
Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian

‘One of the greatest (and sadly most forgotten) romantic comedies ever, which has not a cracking script, but some trademark-terrific visuals.’
★★★★
