Directed by Karim Aïnouz | UK | 2023 | 2h | Starring Alicia Vikander, Jude Law, Simon Russell Beale, Eddie Marsan, Sam Riley

In Tudor England, Katherine Parr agrees to become the sixth wife of the tyrannical King Henry VIII, fully aware of the dangers posed by the fate of his previous wives. A champion of radical change, Parr’s progressive beliefs and courage soon put her in conflict with the ailing and increasingly paranoid monarch. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Karim Aïnouz (The Invisible Life of Eurídice Gusmão) and featuring outstanding performances by Alicia Vikander and Jude Law, this opulent historical drama brings to light the often overlooked story of Henry’s final wife.
