After falling deep into a web of online conspiracy theories, Teddy and his cousin become convinced that Michelle, the powerful CEO of a global corporation, is an alien plotting humanity’s downfall. Their misguided mission leads them to kidnap her, determined to force a confession and save the planet. Starring Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons, this darkly comic and unsettling satire from Oscar-winning director Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things, The Favourite) explores the creeping paranoia of life in the digital age.

Reviews

‘Lanthimos expertly milks maximum comic tension… Stone and Plemons prove ideal co-conspirators, with carefully balanced performances that have them taking turns as hero and villain without ever quite annihilating our sympathies or winning them outright.’
★★★★★
Robbie Collin, The Telegraph

‘A zany, comic, icky, smelly thriller about the deadly cocktail of loneliness and web browsing.’
Johnny Oleksinski, New York Post
