Brief EncounterPG

Directed by David Lean | UK | 1945 | 1h 27m | Starring Celia Johnson, Trevor Howard, Stanley Holloway, Joyce Carey, Cyril Raymond

While returning home from a shopping trip to a nearby town, a restless suburban housewife encounters a charming doctor. What begins as a casual friendship gradually deepens into a quiet yet profoundly emotional love affair. In David Lean’s elegantly crafted adaptation of Noël Coward’s 1936 play ‘Still Life’, the tension of forbidden romance is beautifully intertwined with the subtle constraints of middle-class decorum, creating a classic tale of restrained passion and longing.
