Better Go Mad in the Wild15

Directed by Miro Remo | Czech Republic/Slovakia | 2025 | 1h 24m | Czech w/ English subtitles

Frantisek and Ondrej Klisik are ageing, bearded brothers living in a crumbling farmhouse near the Czech-German border. Frantisek lost an arm in a sawmill accident. Ondrej drinks, smokes, howls at the moon and sings ballads to the chickens. Between memories of youth and broken hearts, the two argue and make up every day. Filmed over five years and narrated by a slaughtered bull, Miro Remo’s award-winning film is a funny, tender portrait of two brothers who chose seclusion over society.
