Beetlejuice Beetlejuice12A

Directed by Tim Burton | USA | 2024 | 1h 45m | Starring Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci

The Deetz family returns to their home in Winter River after an unexpected family tragedy. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s world is thrown into chaos when her rebellious teenage daughter accidentally opens a mysterious portal to the afterlife. With trouble brewing in both worlds, it’s only a matter of time before the mischievous demon re-appears to cause mayhem. Nearly forty years after the original film’s release, director Tim Burton reunites with Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder for this highly anticipated sequel, also starring Jenna Ortega and Willem Dafoe.

Reviews

‘The nicest surprise is that Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is that rare thing, a big-budget comedy which is actually funny.’
★★★★
Nicholas Barber, BBC

‘Burton has thrown everything at the wall and then carefully sculpted what has slithered down into a rollicking yet disciplined supernatural caper with a heart.’
★★★★
Sophie Monks Kaufman, Little White Lies
