In late 18th century Europe, Antonio Salieri is the most famous musician in Vienna. That is, until the arrival of young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1781. This newcomer’s extraordinary talent not only eclipses Salieri’s own abilities but also triggers a deep-seated envy within him. Determined to hinder Mozart’s rise to success, Salieri devises a sinister plot to destroy the young musical genius. Join us on New Year’s Day as we celebrate the 40th-anniversary of Miloš Forman’s (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest) opulent and Oscar-winning tale of musical brilliance and one frustrated artists burning desire for jealous vengeance.
