Dead Of Winter15

Directed by Brian Kirk | Canada/USA | 2025 | 1h 38m | Starring Emma Thompson, Judy Greer, Marc Menchaca, Gaia Wise, Brían F. O’Byrne

Caught in a blizzard, a grieving widow loses her way on the back roads of Minnesota and takes refuge in a remote cabin. There, she stumbles into a nightmare: a murderous couple holding a young woman hostage. What follows is a brutal fight for survival in the snowbound wilderness. Starring Oscar-winner Emma Thompson, this relentless kidnap thriller weaves suspense with an unexpected love story at its heart.

Reviews

‘Thompson’s relatable presence and likability-aura make a very good solvent for the concentrated nastiness of Greer’s desperate villain and what she has in mind for her teen prisoner. There’s a distinct chill.’
