Oxford Action For Palestine presents: Aida Returns + Q&APG
After the death of her mother, director Carol Mansour finds a group of friends in Beirut willing to help fulfil an extraordinary wish: to take Aida back to her homeland of Palestine. The film follows Carol on this deeply personal journey, as she navigates the challenges of returning her mother home with the help of a diverse group of friends and strangers. What unfolds is a poignant and moving tribute, a story that is at times sorrowful, painful, and even unexpectedly humorous. Through this intimate documentary, Mansour honours not only her mother’s past but also the shared longing of exiled Palestinians, denied the right to return – even after death.
Screening presented in collaboration with Oxford Action For Palestine who will host a Zoom Q&A with director Carol Mansour after the screening. 50% of ticket sales will be donated to the Students For Palestine Gaza Fundraiser.

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
