Painter, filmmaker, surrealist, and one of the great American artists of the 20th Century.
We’ve teamed up with The Evolution of Horror Podcast to honour one of the most influential artistic voices of American cinema, the late great David Lynch. Join us on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th March as we devote an entire weekend to some of the more nightmarish visions from Lynch’s filmography, including four screenings over two days, guest intros to all films, a live panel discussion with The Evolution of Horror, and – of course – plenty of black coffee and cherry pie.
We have a limited number of Weekend Passes for entry to all screenings and events (£40 / £35 for UPP Annual Members), or you can purchase tickets for each screening individually.

Saturday 15th March
5pm Blue Velvet
A severed human ear is discovered, drawing a clean-cut amateur detective into the dark and twisted underbelly of his seemingly idyllic hometown. After the big-budget disappointment of Dune, David Lynch returned with this subversive melodrama, exposing the sinister secrets lurking beneath the polished surface of suburban America.

8pm Eraserhead
In a bleak industrial landscape, a young man learns he is about to become a father. Shortly after meeting his in-laws, his girlfriend gives birth to a horrifying, mutant-like creature that won’t stop crying. Lynch’s visionary debut became a cult sensation on the midnight movie circuit, heralding the arrival of one of the most unique artistic voices in American cinema history.

3pm Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me
In this prequel to his groundbreaking 1990s television series, David Lynch revisits the tragic teenager found wrapped in plastic at the show’s beginning, chronicling Laura Palmer’s final week and delving deeper into the mysteries surrounding her murder. A critical and box office failure upon release, Fire Walk With Me has since undergone a radical reappraisal, emerging as a cult favourite and one of Lynch’s most revered works. Screening will be followed by a live panel discussion with The Evolution of Horror Podcast.

8pm Lost Highway
A jazz saxophonist begins to suspect his wife of infidelity after receiving unsettling VHS tapes in the mail. His life spirals into further chaos when he is accused of his wife’s murder and then inexplicably vanishes, his identity fracturing into that of another man. With its bold expressionism, ruptured narrative structure, and haunting imagery, this postmodern noir represents Lynch at his most darkly surreal.
