Lost Highway18
A jazz saxophonist begins to suspect his wife of infidelity after receiving unsettling VHS tapes in the mail. His life spirals into further chaos when he is accused of his wife’s murder and then inexplicably vanishes, his identity fracturing into that of another man. Lost Highway marks a shift in David Lynch’s focus from the sinister undercurrents of suburban America (as explored in Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks) to the shadowy depths of life in Los Angeles—a theme he would revisit in both Mulholland Drive and Inland Empire. With its bold expressionism, ruptured narrative structure, and haunting imagery, this postmodern noir represents Lynch at his most darkly surreal.

‘Forget about vampires, zombies and the undead, this is true horror.’

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
