Freud’s Last Session12A
On the eve of the Second World War, the aging Sigmund Freud receives a visit from celebrated author and Oxford don C.S. Lewis. As the storm clouds of war gather over Europe, these two great minds of the 20th-century engage in a profound debate about the future of mankind and the existence of God. Starring Matthew Goode and two-time Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins, this thought-provoking drama is adapted from Mark St. Germain’s award-winning stage play.
‘So many movies are either mindless or completely disinterested with engaging the intellect of their audiences that “Freud’s Last Session” offers a welcome bit of brain stimulation’
Peter Debruge, Variety

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
