Born in London to Jewish parents, young stockbroker Nicholas Winton helped rescue 669 children from the Nazis, bringing them to safety in England. But 50 years later, Winton is still haunted by the fate of those he couldn’t save. It’s not until a live TV show surprises him that he is finally able to approach making peace with the past. Oscar-winning actor Sir Anthony Hopkins stars in this poignant and timely drama about the power of individual acts in defence of human rights, even when all seems lost.

Our screening on Tuesday 6th February will be introduced by Dr Vivien Sieber. Author of ‘Kino And Kinder’, Dr Vivien Sieber is the daughter and grand-daughter of Holocaust survivors. Her book details her family history during this period, from the cinema they ran in Vienna to caring for girls evacuated from Europe by the Kindertransport.
