Triangle of Sadness15
A celebrity power couple are invited aboard a luxury cruise for the super wealthy helmed by an unhinged alcoholic captain. What begins as a lavish holiday soon turns into a disaster when a storm maroons the ship and leaves the survivors stranded on an island fighting for their lives. Acclaimed director Ruben Östlund (Force Majure, The Square) won his second Palme d’Or (Best Film) at the Cannes Film Festival for this outrageous black comedy satirising the super rich.
Reviews
‘A frontal assault on the super-rich, and on the capitalist system in general, which has enough rage and riotous abandon to compensate for its lack of subtlety.’
★★★★★
Nicholas Barber, BBC
‘It’s a stellar film that hits a rare sweet spot as both mainstream, accessible entertainment, and also an undeniably incisive piece of cultural commentary. And best of all, it will keep you on your toes until the sensational final moment of its breezy drift.’

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
