The LadykillersPG

Directed by Alexander Mackendric | UK | 1955 | 1h 27m | Starring Alec Guinness, Peter Sellers, Katie Johnson, Cecil Parker, Herbert Lom, Danny Green

Five oddball criminals planning a bank robbery move into a little old lady’s boardinghouse under the pretext that they are classical musicians. For the heist to be a success, they need to keep their plan from the prying eyes of their temporary host – a task easier said than done. The final (and finest) of the Ealing Studios comedies is still as subversive and hilarious as it was when it was released nearly 70 years ago.

Reviews
