David Lynch Weekender
The Evolution of Horror Podcast and The Ultimate Picture Palace presents:
DAVID LYNCH WEEKENDER
We’ve teamed up with The Evolution of Horror Podcast to honour one of the most influential artistic voices of American cinema, the late great David Lynch. Join us on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th March as we devote an entire weekend to some of the more nightmarish visions from Lynch’s filmography, including four screenings over two days, guest intros to all films, a live panel discussion with The Evolution of Horror, and – of course – plenty of black coffee and cherry pie.
We have a limited number of Weekend Passes for entry to all screenings and events (£40 / £35 for UPP Annual Members), or you can purchase tickets for each screening individually.

Blue Velvet
The discovery of a severed ear leads a clean-cut amateur sleuth to uncover a nightmarish flipside to his sleepy suburban hometown in David Lynch’s subversive and haunting melodrama, starring Kyle MacLachlan and Isabella Rossellini.
Eraserhead
A head floating through the cosmos. A lady who lives in a radiator. A baby that won’t stop crying. David Lynch’s visionary debut that became a sensation on the midnight movie circuit and heralded the arrival of one of America’s greatest artists.
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me
In this prequel to his groundbreaking 1990s television series, David Lynch chronicles Laura Palmer’s final week before her murder. From critical flop to one of Lynch’s most revered works, Fire Walk With Me has become an undisputed cult classic.
Lost Highway
A jazz saxophonist’s life begins to spiral out of control after he receives as series of unsettling VHS tapes in the mail. A fractured and deeply disturbing postmodern noir representing David Lynch at his most darkly surreal.
Plan your visit
Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
