Dir. Yngvild Sve Flikke | Norway | 2021 | 1h 43m | Norwegian w/ English subs | Starring Kristine Kujath Thorp, Arthur Berning, Nader Khademi, Tora Christine Dietrichson, Herman Tømmeraas

Six months after a one-night stand, 23-year-old artist Rakel finds out that she is pregnant. Just as she made to come to terms with impending motherhood, a talking animated infant appears and insists on making her everyday life a living hell. A refreshingly frank and subversive comedy that finds the funny side of facing up to an unplanned pregnancy.

Reviews

‘Any tweeness is tempered by the film’s raunchy sense of humour and frank attitude.’
★★★★ Simran Hans, The Observer

‘There’s nothing more refreshing than a film that isn’t afraid to tell it like it is, especially when the norm is to tiptoe around difficult issues or tie things up in a dishonest little bow.’
★★★★ Emma Simmonds, The List
