Harvest18

Directed by Athina Rachel Tsangari | UK | 2025 | 2h 14m | Starring Caleb Landry Jones, Harry Melling, Rosy McEwen, Frank Dillane, Thalissa Teixeira

Over the course of seven days, life in a nameless village is thrown into disarray during a period of deep economic unrest. As fear and superstition take hold, the community turns against outsiders, while an authoritarian figure tightens his grip and the spectre of modernity looms ever closer. Filmed in the sun-soaked Scottish countryside using only natural light, Greek director Athina Rachel Tsangari crafts an unsettling and poetic drama – an atmospheric meditation on humanity’s fragile bond with the land.

Reviews

‘Harvest stands strong and tall, a work solid as an oak. Full of a sensual love of nature and a distinctive vibe, it’s tangy like a home-brewed ale.’
Leslie Felperin, The Hollywood Reporter
