Kino Kids Cinema Club: The Muppet MovieU

Directed by James Frawley | USA | 1979 | 1h 37m | Starring Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Dave Goelz, Mel Brooks, Elliott Gould, Carol Kane

The Muppets hit the big screen for the first time in this fun, feel-good adventure that tells the (mostly true!) story of how Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the gang became global superstars. Kermit the Frog dreams of making it big, so he leaves his quiet swamp and heads to Hollywood in search of fame and fortune. Along the way, he meets the rest of the Muppets and a colourful cast of characters. But trouble follows close behind as evil restaurateur Doc Hopper is determined to force Kermit into starring in an ad for his frog legs business!

Tickets for Kino Kids Cinema Club screenings are £4 for Children (under-15s) and £6 for Adults. Screenings are relaxed, meaning that the sound will be turned down a notch, and the lights will be up a little, and we don’t mind if people make a bit of noise or move around during the film.

All children (aged 11 and under) must be accompanied by adults at all times, nor shall we admit adults who do not have children with them. If you have any questions or need any more information about these screenings, please feel free to get in touch by emailing us at: [email protected]
