Young, penniless, and hungry for fame, a struggling actress living in 1930s Paris is accused of murdering a famous film producer. As the court case spirals into a media circus, a different kind of notoriety beckons. Directed by acclaimed François Ozon (Summer of 85, 8 Women), this farcical French crime-comedy features a stellar supporting cast of supporting actors, including Isabelle Huppert, Dany Boon, and Fabrice Luchini.

Reviews

‘The film touches on cancel culture, echo chambers and filter bubbles. But it’s also primarily, and fabulously, silly.’
★★★★
Kevin Maher, The Times

‘Ozon, as ever, is not just having fun. He is also making mischief with the sexual politics of the plot.’
Anthony Lane, New Yorker
