The Good Boss15

Directed by Fernando León de Aranoa | Spain | 2022 | 1h 56m | Spanish w/ English subtitles | Starring Javier Bardem, Almudena Amor, Manolo Solo, Óscar de la Fuente

The boss of a factory is all smiles while he awaits a visit from a committee that could give his company an award for excellence. But behind the genial façade lies a selfish profiteer, fighting against employee protests and marital breakdowns. Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men) excels in this ruthlessly funny satire lampooning the state of the modern corporate world.

Reviews

‘It’s smartly shot and nicely paced by the writer-director Fernando Leon de Aranoa, and occasionally taps into some zany Coen brothers energy.’
Kevin Maher, The Times
