As civil war rages between the Algerian government and radical Islamist rebel groups, a group of young women face up to a changing society in which their freedoms as women are under threat. In the centre of it all is headstrong student Nedjma whose passion for staging a fashion show remains undeterred. A stirring and vibrant coming-of-age tale from debutant feature filmmaker Mounia Meddour.
